Program
Inca Trail Trek to Machu Picchu is one of the world's most popular treks. This journey is full of natural beauty combined with the Inca building skill. This path of stone was created by the Incas centuries ago as the access road to Machu Picchu. It is part of the entire network of Inca Routes, which reads about 40,000 km on the territory of the former Inca Empire (from Ecuador to Chile).

Reserving a placefor this trek has to be done in advance of several months because of the need for a special Government Permit. 500 permits are issued per day, of which about 200 are for tourists, others are for guides, bearers, chefs. To plan a trek in the high season from May to October, it is necessary to reserve your place in advance of at least 5 months.
Our agency has the state license to organize Inka Trail Treks.
If you cannot make the reservation because of the Inca Trek quota, we offer you alternative treks completed by visiting Machu Picchu: Short Inka Trail Trek, Salkantay Trek, Inka Jungle Trek, Lares Trek. Each of these treks is unique in its content. Or we will prepare a tailor-made program for you.

DAY 1: CUSCO - LLACTAPATA - HUAYLLABAMBA
We will pick you up between 6.00am and 6.30am and we take a minibus through the town of Chinchero and Ollantaytambo to km 82 where our 4-day trek begins. We will pass through the control and join a group of professionals (guides, chefs, bearers) who will accompany us during this trek. This first day will be quite simple to get used to walking in the mountains. At the same time, however, it will be a demonstration of the unique Inca architecture. Our journey will lead through the valley of the Vilcanot River with the beautiful views of the Mount Veronica. The first archaeological center, which we will see on the way, will be LLactapata. Then we will continue to Huayllabamba where we will camp the first night.
Length of the trek: 7-8 hrs
DAY 2: HUAYLLABAMBA - WARMIWAÑUSCA - PACAYMAYO
After the breakfast we start our second and maybe the most difficult day of the whole trek. We will climb to the Warmiwañusca Pass at 4200 meters above sea level. Here we get to the highest point of our trek and we will enjoy views of the surrounding mountains and vallyes. Then we start to descend into the valley, to Pacamayo, where we will spend the second night.
Length of the trek: 6-7 hrs
DAY 3: PACAYMAYO - RUNKURACAY - SAYACMARCA - PHUYUPATAMARCA - WIÑAYWAYNA
We will start this day very early. Our reward will be a day full of visiting many interesting archaeological sites. The first is Runkurakay. From this place, the Inka Trail is paved with stones. Another stop will be the Sayacmarca complex. We pass through the Inca tunnel carved in the rock, ascend to the Phuyupatamarca Pass and then descend to the archaeological complex of the same name. We will continue on an attractive walkway leading through dense vegetation in a higher jungle, rich in fauna and flora, until we arrive at the penultimate archaeological complex of Intipata. After the last 20 minutes walking, we reach the last interesting archaeological site of Wiñaywayna. Here, in the nearby camp of the same name, we will spend the third night.
Length of the trek: 7 - 8 hrs
DAY 4: WIÑAYWAYNA - INTIPUNKU - MACCHU PICCHU - CUSCO
The last day of our trek begins around 3.30am. After teh breakfast, we will head to the destination of our 4-day trail in the beautiful Peruvian nature. This destination is Machu Picchu. First we go through Intipunku (Sun Gate) where we stop and if the weather allows, we will witness the sunrise over Machu Picchu. We can also appreciate a unique view of this citadel from a different angle. We descend down to Machu Picchu Citadel itself and will have a two-hour guided tour. There will be plenty of time for individual sightseeing and photography. In the afternoon, we take the bus to Aguas Calientes and after the lunch we go to the train station to take the train Vistadome to Ollantaytambo and then bus-transfer gets us back to Cusco and to your hotel.
