This trek combines the beauty of the surrounding mountains and the cultural diversity of two villages hidden deep in the Andean mountains. It will give you time to familiarize yourself with their history and cultural customs. And maybe you will play football with local kids.

 

DAY 1: CUSCO - LARES - HUANCAWASI

 

We will pick you up at 5:00am, through the Sacred Valley and the town of Calca we will arrive after 3 hours where our trek starts. The first day terminates in the Quishuarani community, where we spend the night in the camp.

DAY 2: HUANCAWASI - LAKE IPSAYCOCHA

 

The next day will be more demanding. We'll get up at 6am and after the breakfast we will continue with  the next part of the trek. We will be able to watch the beautiful Andean nature and meet the local people. We arrive and spend the night at Lake Ipsaycoch.

DAY 3: LAKE IPSAYCOCHA - AGUAS CALIENTES

 

After the breakfast, at 6.30am, we will meet several local residents and around 8.00am we will start the third day of the trek in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We will get to know different types of plants, including orchids. We arrive at the village of Huarán where we will have lunch. Then we will continue our journey to Ollantaytambo where we will board the train to Aguas Calientes. Here we spend the night. Optionally, we can visit the alocal thermal spa in the evening.

DAY 4: AGUAS CALIENTES - MACHU PICCHU - CUSCO

 

Early in the morning at 5.30h we set out for Machu Picchu to get there and enjoy the sunrise over the citadel and the mountains surrounding it. During two-hour guided tour we will have enough time for taking the pictures. Then we return to Aguas Calientes, we will have lunch and then we will board the train to Ollantaytambo and bus to Cusco.
