Huchuy Qosqo (Little Cusco), the original name of Kakya Qawani, is the archaeological complex north of Cusco. Originally, it was an administrative and military center near Pisac. It is located at an altitude of 3650 meters. There we will observe two types of the Inca buildings constructed of perfectly-worked stones used for living; and buildings made of roughly-worked stones called Collcas, which were used for storing food. This place was well-known for its important corn production. Another interesting inca construction is the amazing 800m stone-lined irrigation channel. There is no road to this complex, so this offered trek is only available form to visit this place.

Huchuy Qosqo trek leads us to the less known place of the Incas. This place is situated on a plateau with beautiful views of the Sacred Valley and the snowy peaks of the Vilcabamba Mountains.

We will pick you up at the hotel at 7.00am and the private transport will take us to the beginning of the trek, to the small village of Corao, about 30mins from Cusco. We will continue to the village of Sihua, then we climb to the Pukamarca Pass (4150 m). From here, we will enjoy beautiful views of the Urubamba Mountain Range and the Sacred Valley. We descend to the Pukamarca community and we will have lunch there.

After the lunch, we take off for Puma Puncu Canyon. From here we join the original Inca path to the site of the isolated and mysterious Inca settlement, Huchuy Qosqo (3650 m). As a part of our tour, we will see the temples, warehouses, terraces and water reservoirs, which the Incas used as the water-reservoir for the dry season.

After the tour we will go down to Lamay village (2,800) where arrive in 2hrs. We change to the bus which takes us back to the city of Cusco.
