This tour shows us the history of Arequipa and its diverse surroundings.

 

We'll start at the Plaza de Armas. Next, we move to the local Yanahuara district, which is characteristic of the buildings of the volcanic rock coming from the stone quarries near Arequipa.

 

Another point of our visit will be Puente de Fierro. This bridge was designed by the famous Gustav Eiffel. From this place we have amazing views of the volcanoes around Arequipa.

 

In the vicinity of the city we will visit the Mirador del Carmen Alto (view), where we can enjoy views of the local countryside. We will visit the Sabandia mill, which was the first stone mill in the region.

 

After a short ride, we reach the magnificent mansion, home of the founder of Arequipa - García Manuel de Carbaj.
